Couple the global pandemic with an already increasing move to e-commerce and the ever-increasing demands of expedited shipping, and you can see why many companies are trying to figure out how to keep customers happy and how to stay relevant in a very competitive and fast-moving environment.
This seminar will walk the audience through a specific set of order fulfillment problems and how to go about solving these problems using a proven data-driven design methodology. The goal of the seminar is to show the steps order fulfillment specialists go through to define system requirements, how different technologies can solve the same set of problems and the benefits and drawbacks of those technologies and solutions. We will start with data analysis, move into solutions, discuss the return on investments and labor models associated with each solution, and discuss what options we would choose and why. The three concepts will include a modified manual operation, a mechanized solution, and an automated solution. This should provide audience members that own and operate order fulfillment systems the ability to draw parallels to their own systems so they can apply the same methodology when needed.
The KLG team has found through our history of implementing large scale projects as customers in varying roles, that understanding the DNA of the business and applying the right process is a foundational exercise that must take a priority and have all other enablers designed around it. There are several key analyses that can be done by any business to make sure their operations are not constrained to a “one size fits all” solution.
