What information do we collect? How do we use it?
The Information collected by MHI is used to help better serve you. ProMat 2013 profiles are collected when you sign in and will help us to provide you with a customized web experience. We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Website, new ProMat 2013 services, and special news and events we think you'll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, please send an email to
remove@mhi.org. Make sure to list each account or email address you have registered with us.
What about "cookies"?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information, but they do enable us to provide helpful features such as providing customized content to you when you return to the site based on your browsing history.
Note: If cookies are disabled (i.e., turned off) in your browser, you won't be able to use many of the personalization features that ProMat 2013 offers such as My Show and the Agenda Planner.
How does ProMat 2013 protect customer information?
All of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.
Will ProMat 2013 disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
ProMat 2013 does not sell, trade, or
rent your personal information to outside parties. The only exception to this rule is the information collected
when you register online for MHI trade events. This information will be shared only with exhibitors at
ProMat 2013 after the event.
Trade Event Email Opt Out Option
If you opt out of email sharing when you register, your email address will not be shared with Trade Event
exhibitors. Your email address will be included in the data you give an exhibitor when you allow them to
scan your badge on the show floor. You may miss out on important information that you would otherwise
receive by email from exhibitors, but you will still receive confirmation notices and other important business
information regarding Trade Events from MHI. If you would rather not receive this information,
please send an email to remove@mhi.org.
What happens to the information gathered when I register for ProMat 2013?
As a show registrant, you have indicated an interest in the products and services provided by exhibiting member companies. MHI provides information gathered from our trade show registrations ONLY to exhibiting member companies. MHI.org may also provide aggregate statistics about our attendees, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.
