Ayer’s Cliff, Quebec - The Executive Committee of Wulftec® announces the injection of over $2 million into its Ayer’s Cliff manufacturing plant.
This project will be carried out in two phases. The first will consist of a new building, erected in place of the existing showroom. The new space will include a laboratory to allow Wulftec® to simulate and validate customer wrapping and strapping solutions, a classroom for seminars and training as well as offices on the second floor.
The second phase will consists of a modification of the existing main building in order to match the exteriors, improve employee rest areas and demolition of part of the 2nd floor to create a full-height production hall, allowing 8,000 sq.ft. of new space for production needs. In 2014, Wulftec® made a 10,000 sq.ft. expansion…that section has already been filled. “The demands are constantly increasing so we’ll reconfigure the production line. It will allow us to have an increased production capacity and meet the demands,” Guy Lopes, Wulftec® Operations Director.
This expansion secures the 209 jobs at the Ayer’s Cliff plant and will likely bring the creation of many new jobs in the medium and long term. Thanks to this ambitious expansion project, Wulftec® ensures the maintenance of its competitive position on the market and particularly, remaining a world leader of packaging equipment: pallet stretch wrapping equipment, strapping equipment and pallet handling solutions.
