What You Will Learn

In 2016 REI opened its newest Omni-Channel distribution center to fulfill online orders and supply inventory to REI stores across the southwest. They decided to build a highly advanced and sustainable facility, which fits with the company’s outdoor stewardship philosophy. REI constructed a LEED-Certified and Net Zero building focusing on the environment and employee efficiency. The building incorporates numerous sustainable features, along with state of the art technology, including the first pocket sorter in the US, AS/RS, low-voltage conveyor, and robotic packaging. This session will focus on how Partnership, Technology and Environmentally Consideration make the best Distribution Center.
